I solved the problem shown in the picture, but a hint page (at <solution>.htm) told me it was "Wrong" -- but then, why does a hint page exist at that location? I translated the solution using the letters given, and went to <translation>.htm, where a page told me "Bad... Very bad..."

What am I missing?

Use the "whole" answer.

Nope. Just simply math and physic (probably even student of first school will solve it).

Find out what is X (number I mean), translate it using source and write down full answer.

I don't understand how to solve for X (I'm not very good at math). Theoretically, if X is the same number on each side, then the difference between the sides would still exist (I'm looking at something similar to x = [difference]+x), but the scale is balanced, so I don't understand. Does it have to do X's position on each side?

The answer to your last question is "yes".

You ever stand on a scale at the doctor's office that had a balance beam on it? Notice how it worked? There's a physical principle behind it...

"I stopped" is useless there.

You have number of X. As from some earlier levels, you want letters from numbers...

I understand I need to get letters from the numbers of my math solution. I just dont understand how. Tried standard conversions for alphanumerical value. Tried a bunch of stuff, but obviously not the right stuff. Any clue on what the letters in the source code mean and how they can be used to help me translate my math solution?

okay i really tried to solve this, and my maths is pretty good, so i dont know what went wrong, i have a odd number for x, even with endless decimal:
abcd.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
are there supposed to be decimals???

If you got number, and you have seen WRONG page, but not 404 error... then... Look carefully, there's something missing in your answer.

I'm stuck. I've found what was needed to be found, did to it what was needed to be done, and now I know what needs to be done (at least I'm pretty sure I do ), but I cannot do it just the right way.

Any advice?

i have a --- number, and with the --- i assume i need to obtain a ---, but i have no idea how to get the letters from the numbers. i don't understand the source clue.
